Resident Community
The resident community of Camp Koinonia are Lutheran Christians who meet the Camp Association's criteria for membership and obtian licenses to occupy lots from the Association's Board of Directors. They may build permanent lake side cottages.
Also available on a yearly basis are a number of seasonal camping stalls for individuals who wish to park their travel trailers at Camp Koinonia for an entire season. These stalls which are supplied with water and power are available to persons qualifying for membership in the Camp Association. Overnight camping areas are also available with fire pits and picnic tables.
The Camp has an "All Sport Court" which includes a tennis or badminton court, plus a basketball court. Alongside these sporting facilities, stands a playground, equipped for the youngsters. Other facilities include a ball diamond, horse shoe pits, boat launch and a designated swimming area. Other amenities located near the camp include several golf courses.
Central to Camp Koinonia's program is Christian worship and fellowship. Worship services are held each Sunday morning of the season which is May long weekend through Thanksgiving weekend. Weather permitting services are held at the outdoor chapel where sheltered from the wind by a grove of trees and overlooking the lake, as many as two hundred people may gather.
